The Village Shoppe (TVS) was established in the 1960s and was most recently purchased by Matt Ford and Jason Brown in 2022.  The focus had always been on providing local customers with an in-town convenience store that also sold prime meats, alcohol, garden center items and house made sandwiches. 

 

In March, 2023, The Village Shoppe joined forces with another well-known, locally owned and supported St Michaels business, Gourmet by the Bay (GBTB).  GBTB was established in 2001 by Sidney and Jim Trond.  Both trained chefs, Sidney and Jim aimed to build a company that focused on high-quality food, exceptional service and unmatched creativity.  They built a team of very loyal customers, clients and employees over the years.

Together, Gourmet by the Bay at The Village Shoppe provides prepared foods, as well as high quality ingredients to its customers.  As a whole animal butcher, The Village Shoppe offers the freshest, local beef, pork and lamb sourced from farms within a 50-mile radius.  Our butcher and chefs make all beef hot dogs, lamb dogs, assorted loose and link sausages, pates, scrapple, dry rubs, sauces and much more.

 

Additionally The Village Shoppe provisions craft beer, a highly curated selection of fine wine and spirits, local produce, made-to-order sandwiches, and miscellaneous other sundries.  The Village Shoppe is a one-stop shop for all your entertaining needs.
